A Reading Group with a Difference
with Aled Jones Williams
We will read texts from our life experiences. It will be not just reading for enjoyment—although I would trust that it will be that! - but certain passages from the books might capture something from your lived experiences and you will want to look at them in more depth. Perhaps it might not be all that clear why you like or don’t like a passage but you choose to struggle with it. This might ‘link’ to someone else’s chosen passage in the work so that we become a community of readers and not a group that merely talks about literature.
The aim is to see how literature can change you and is able to deepen your life.
Read the texts before hand and mark passages that appeal to you in some way AND
passages that you don’t like or find perplexing.
These are the texts we will read:

Cousin Henry -Anthony Trollope (Oxford World's Classics)
